Soap Making Ingredients

Normally used sodium hydroxide lye and lard for the fat to make soap. What can we use for a substitute?

Our group is currently investigating the soap. We are for making soap, but the problem is we need to find ingredients are water main, (lard fatty acids), bleach (alkaline base, then choose 2 and then modify it. The changes must still make possible the manufacture of soap, but that the amendment should be cheaper to make and healthier for the body. PLEASE HELP ME!

Any fat animal will do in place of lard.
