Where and how I can get the fat to make soap?

I'm trying to get all the soap making thing, and I do not know where to get fat. A butcher? A restaurant? I have all other components (Perfume, bleach, glycerin, coloring).

It depends on what kind of soap you are doing. I've done in the past a little olive oil soap was very nice and the main fat in the soap is Olive Oil. If you want to make a more traditional soap with tallow (an animal product) then you need to get fat. Sebo get a good price (I have it) from a local slaughter house, is fat. Then you have to make tallow tallow milling small pieces and boil. This process is very stinky to be prevented. Once the oil to a liquid state to be tensions due to solids and then cool to configure. What remains is the fat on top which is now called sebum and there maybe a little liquid at the bottom that is discarded. I've done this sort soap, but not like so much.
