Soap Fragrance Oils

"Moisture Rich" is one of my most requested and best moisturizing hand soap recipes. Not only like to use this hand soap in my sink, too I like to use this soap in the shower, because it is so moisturizing. What is the secret ingredient? Shea butter. Shea butter has special moisturizing qualities and strive to preserve these qualities in my hand soap. I like to think that this soap is unique because of the steps we take to create it. Best Moisturizing Hand Soap Recipe:

Ingredients:

25 oz olive oil

10oz Coconut Oil

10oz palm oil

5 oz shea butter

16 oz water

7 oz lye

Instructions:

I make this soap a little different than my other soaps. I melt the coconut oil and palm oils together. Then add olive oil. When oils and lye / water (or lye / milk) slurry are both at about 110 degrees, to incorporate the mixture into the oils. When the soap is very light trace, I then incorporate the melted shea butter. Me mainstream like shea butter at this point, hoping that most of the shea butter does not react with the bleach and keep moisturizing properties. I know there are still many free radicals in lye soap, but I hope most of them mixed with other base oils.

I use any fragrance in this soap, because I like to offer a few free soap fragrance. You can, however, use any fragrance you want in this soap. Always recommend using a fragrance that has been a good seller for you if you were selling soap for a while. I have been very successful in maintaining this fragrant soap however (and this reduces the cost of producing the soap in the middle).

I like to use light olive oil, so having a very light (almost white) bar Color of soap. If you use extra virgin olive oil, the bar will not be so white. If using olive pomace oil, soap will look green - you also have to consult a lye calculator because you may need to adjust the amount of olive pomace oil if it replaces.

This recipe will produce 16 to 4 oz. bars of soap. If you reduce or increase the size of the recipe, make sure you double check the oil and the amounts of bleach and lye calculator. Always pays to be on the safe side. Usually make this soap in a bread pan that makes 64 large bars of soap at once.
