Having a 10lb block of glycerin base on hand is far more convenient than 2lb bricks if you have a serious soap-making hobby. However, the pricetag is a bit too high for my tastes, especially when you consider that most online vendors sell 25lb bricks for the same price. I always purchase these 10lb blocks from Michaels whenever they give out 50% off coupons.This glycerin base takes scent and color fairly well and is usually easy to unmold. It does tend to sweat heavily after a few weeks though (even when shrink wrapped), so don't make more than you can use in that time period.I wish Life Of The Party offered their other mp bases, like goats milk and shea butter, in 10lb blocks...*hint hint*

I used this soap base mixed with oatmeal and another time mixed with tea and I made about 10 or more bars of soap and it lasted 6 months. I ordered 2 of them so 6 months with only 2 soap bases is pretty good. I will order this again!!!

OK but better out there

I got my feet wet with a kit that included this base. It's all right, but has both Sodium Lareates in it, better base can be had elsewhere. Remember, the more chemicals it has in it, detracts from its value as a homemade real soap product.
