Good shampoo

This stuff really works on my Lab. It really cuts down on the shedding and gets a lot of loose hair off when she gets a bath. She is fluffy afterwards and when brushed enough hair comes off to make another dog.

I used this today on my heavily shedding German Shepherd. I thought it smelled really good, like the coconut snow cones I use to have as a kid.It is a nice blue-colored shampoo, so they must use some strong coloring in it. It doesn't list all of the ingredients so I suspect there is coloring and fragrance added. I'd rather it have a full ingredient list.Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. It is a nice shampoo, but I wonder what it contains that I don't know about and that isn't listed.

Fantastic Stuff

I use the Furminator shampoo first and then I put this on and leave it for 10 or so minutes, rubbing it in (tons of hair will come off on your hands). The only problem is keeping your dog occupied while it sits. After rinsing it off and towel drying the dog (tons more hair comes off while drying, I use the furminator tool to take the rest of the hair off. I have a small 17lb French Bulldog and I swear after using the shampoo, the solution and the tool what comes off her looks like a whole other dog.

My dogs shed like crazy in the spring. I have a Jack Russell with a short coarse coat and an Australian Cattle Dog mix with lots of undercoat.I had the FURminator Large Yellow deShedding Tool with 4-Inch Edge brush for dogs already and like the job it does getting hair off my dogs. Much better than any other brush I've tried.I can't say that this shampoo or "solution" conditioner helped to remove any more hair compared to other products during or after the bath. I do not blow dry my dogs, perhaps the blow drying is an essential step.I will say that the dogs were very soft and smelled very nice for several days. But they were still shedding at about the same rate as with just brushing.

Well the chiwinnie had a little dandruff, and otched/scratched a bit much and the pregnant wife hates that 'puppy' smell. Well after using this every 3-4 days for about a month now, she doesnt nearly nibble/itch as much as before, I havent really noticed the dandruff in her fur when playing and rubbing her etc.. and woo woo that puppy smell is gone :)She still doesnt like shower/bath time :)( But she loves being dried off :) It hasnt hurt the doggies eyes when by accident she jumped around and it got in her eyes.. well she didnt act like she was hurting or anything.

VERY Strong Citrus Smell

I had to throw this out because of the overpowering, citrus smell. Be aware that if your dog needs such a strong perfume to mask his/her body odor it is because you are feeding your baby processed or cooked food that cannot be digested. No matter how 'good' the ingredients may look next to the pretty pictures on the dog food bags, our animals cannot digest cereal mixed with old animal parts, sprayed with flavoring, and baked to rock hardness. Wake up and shake off the media programming, Folks. THERE IS NO CREATURE THAT EXISTS ON THIS PLANET THAT COOKS IT'S FOOD - NOT ONE - EXCEPT HUMANS. Dogs cannot digest cooked food and their bodies are trying to push that garbage out of every possible place - including the skin pores. My dogs eat raw meat, raw veggies, raw nuts and smell sweet on their own. Honestly. Even their poop smells sweet (like fresh linen). It is the absolute truth. No perfume needed or wanted.

I have a mostly white Papillon who was starting to turn a bit yellow from ordinary dog oatmeal shampoos. Even though she has a bit if black on her face and a few small black areas on her body I dedided to give this shampoo a try. She has sensitive skin and at first I was a bit worried about it being too harsh. I needn't have been. Groomer's Blend is uber mild.I was amazed that after one bath her white fur actually glistened, especially in the sunlight. I never expected to see such dramatic results after one shampoo. Even her black spots were super shiny. Her coat was never as soft as this.Did I mention she also smelled wonderful?Bye bye inferior oatmeal soap!

"Mmmm... Your dog smells soooo good!" - that's what I hear all the time when I wash our dog, Callie, with Buddy Wash in lavender & mint. However, the shampoo does not leave an overpowering scent. You can only smell it when you're cuddling with her, otherwise she just smells clean, which is always a plus. Her coat is soft and silky too!Callie is a mixed breed with a smooth coat who likes to roll in smelly things when we're not looking and she loves to go to the dog beach. This shampoo is gentle enough that we can wash her as much as she needs it without irritating her skin. We don't use conditioner. I agree that the Buddy Wash can be a little hard to rinse out - especially with a squirmy dog. Another great thing about this shampoo is that the bottle also lasts forever! We're loving the 2 pack!

I am very glad I bought this shampoo and conditioner. It has a pleasant smell, and I can noticeably feel how much softer it makes my puppy. Others have also commented on how much softer she feels. Chemically, the shampoo and conditioner does not seem to be harsh on my puppy's skin and fur. She tends to stay fluffy for about a week or so.

This shampoo is the best. My Boxer has sensitive skin which has had problems with other "itch relief" dog shampoos like oatmeal based shampoos you can get at Target. Buddy Wash does not cause problems for her and even better it smells good.

I originally bought this shampoo & the mint tea conditioner because of the ingredients. They are pretty simple - coconut, lavender, mint, aloe, etc. I didn't wanna wash my dog's coat with chemicals (she's a french bulldog and are prone to skin allergies). The stuff is amazing, it smells great, and leaves her coat super fluffy. No wet weirdo dog odor at all.My dog recently broke out in hives for whatever reason. It wasn't dietary, but an environmental factor we had to figure out. The shampoo and conditioner really kept the hives and inflammation of her skin under control while we figured out the issue. My personal opinion is all the aloe vera and anti-inflammatory ingredients (teas, mint, lavender, oatmeal, tea tree oil, vitamn e, etc) kept her skin way less itchy and way less puffy red. I also didn't have to worry about drying her skin out too if she had to be soaked daily with the stuff in cool water.

I absolutely love this shampoo for my Goldendoodle who loves to play in mud and water. She gets bathed usually twice per week and I find that this product does a great job in getting the dirt out of her very fine fur but is still gentle enough for regular use (although all dogs coats are different). Worth the price because a little goes a long way.

The shampoo seems to do it's job well. I've had compliments from others on how good my dog smells after giving him a bath and shampoo, but I'm not really partial to the scent. I think it's supposed to smell like baby powder, but something scent wise seems a bit off if that's what they are trying copy.I'm in the process of looking for another shampoo that does a good job and smells a little better, at least when combined with the typical "Wet Dog" smell.

My dogs LOVE the mud - we always joke that our yellow lab always wanted to be a black lab because he's typically that filthy. This shampoo works great! It smells wonderful and makes fur super soft and shiny. I usually dilute the shampoo adding it to a squirt bottle with warm water - that way we use less and still end up with a clean dog after our daily mud romp.

Last summer my yellow lab licked her neck raw. An expensive vet trip cured her. This year she started doing it again so I researched what the active ingredient was that the vet had given her and found it in this medicatated shampoo. I was thrilled by all the glowing reviews and looked forward to a miracle cure but to no avail.The shampoo is thick, lathers well and does stop the itching, for a while. I have had the product a little over three weeks and have had to give my dog 3 baths and several cold compresses coated with this shampoo. Her itching is relieved for a day or two, but not much longer. When she does stop scratching and chewing on her skin then the raw parts start to heal. But her relief is short lived and if I don't stay on top of it she will go back to scratching and chewing her skin again.We have had an extremely hot and humid summer and I'm not sure what her allergies are. This product has given her some relief, I just wish it would last longer. I will continue to use this brand until I find another that will yeild better results.

I own two Siberian Huskies. For most of my older male's life he's had terrible, itchy skin that had a bad odor. I've tried many different shampoos, all different types and brands varying from those bought at my vet to those bought at high-end boutiques. Nothing seemed to really help to give him temporary relief on the itch as well as deodorize. I was recommended this shampoo from a friend and thought I might as well try it out since I've tried so many other things.After one wash I noticed a huge difference! A week after I washed him, the bad skin odor is still not there nor does he seem to be itching himself as much. This product has worked wonders on him as both a deodorizer and a temporary itch relief. I will recommend this to anyone who has been trying shampoo products without any significant success.

My aging german shepherd had been on alot of very expensive medicated "prescription" shampoos that could only be obtained at the vet's office. They usually had a bad odor and did not "suds up" very well, not to mention the ridiculous prices I had to pay. The shampoos didn't even seem to work very well for my german shepherd. Then I spoke with my vet and asked if there was any other shampoo that she thought might still soothe and heal my dog's skin but didn't cost a fortune. She recommended this shampoo and I've been using it ever since (probably for more than 2 years now). It has a wonderful smell, is very concentrated so you can use it very sparingly, it has done a GREAT job on my dog's skin and is very affordable (especially if you purchase it through Amazon... it's the cheapest price I've found.) We recently adopted a rescue dog that is mainly white in color and has sensitive skin (not to mention her body odor!) Since now using this shampoo on her for a couple months now, her skin is perfect and she smells great! It got rid of her body odor between baths. I would HIGHLY recommend this shampoo to anyone who is looking for a very good cleansing/healing shampoo at a fraction of the price!!

Not as Good as an Actual Bath, but Pretty Good

I bought this at the same time I bought the Furminator because I saw it came up as a related product and the reviews were pretty positive. I agree with the positive reviews.Specifically: my dog's vet has recommended I not bathe him more than once every six weeks because it really dries his skin out which causes him to excessively scratch and chew to the point of making himself look pretty mangy. However, in between baths, my dog would get very offensive smelling. Now, I spray my dog down with this product about once a week, dry him off, and furminate him. The result is a dog who is not only no longer offensive smelling between baths but also a dog who actually smells pretty decent. He still reaches a point where this product does not do the trick, but he easily makes his vet's recommended minimum of six weeks between real baths.

I've brushed my 90-lb Rottweiler/Shepherd mix with the FURminator for 2 years, and decided to try out the Waterless deShedding Shampoo because sending her to the groomer's every month gets expensive. She was undecided about it at first but she always stands really still when I rub the shampoo deep into her coat. She loves the massage!The shampoo definitely does what it's supposed to do: it untangles and cleans. Our dog smells wonderful after each waterless shampoo. We use this shampoo on her once a week. After each shampoo, her coat is soft and shiny. It should be noted that it helps quite a bit if you brush your pet before using the shampoo.She's had two waterless shampoos so far, and I have noticed a significant drop in the amount of fur when I brush her in between shampoos.Some have mentioned the really strong perfume smell in this product. It is pretty strong, but I don't mind it at all. I highly recommend this product!

I was looking for a product that I could use to spot wash places in my dog's hair that get tree sap on them daily. He lies in a hole he has dug under a cypress tree and the roots put sap in his fur. The groomer cannot sell me the special shampoo she has to use that does remove this sap. However, I need something I can use daily to spot wash him. If you have such a product, I would like to know what it is.

I can't really speak to the benefits of this product because, for me, the horrendous odor so outweighed the positives. I couldn't really use enough of the stuff to get the desired results because the aroma overwhelmed me and caused difficulty breathing from the first squirt. If you don't mind strong chemical perfumes, then you might get good results with the de-shedding aspects. As for me, I regret having paid the money for something I can't really use.

Let me first say, I totally hate bathing the dog and put it off for any excuse. But after using this stuff, I immediately went online to see if there was a companion rinse and ordered it. I look forward to the aromatherapy experience of Lucy's next bath. This stuff smells sooooo awesome. After bathing my corgi, she didn't smell like went dog -she still smelled great. Also, I love the thick consistency of this wash and it lathers so good. Her coat is soft and shiny. The best part, all the ingredients are natural so I don't have to worry about getting it on my skin. There is no "fragrance" which could mean phthalates. I bought mine at Whole Foods for 6.99 so if you go with Amazon subscribe and save it is also cheaper.

Purchased the double pack from Amazon as a Christmas present for Molly (our golden retriever).Have been satisfied with the quality of the product and the double pack price was great. Wife loves the Bergamot and Green Tea smell, Molly appears indifferent however she enjoys the attention after bath time. Coat always looks shinny and clean after the wash. The scent could last longer but that's probably a function of the animal and not so much the product. We don't use any of the conditioner etc.Will be purchasing it again from Amazon.

Clean, huggable dog

This is great dog shampoo. The scent is very pleasant, natural, gently lingers a bit after bathtime is over, but is not overpowering. It feels gentle and is not full of chemicals. It is a good consistency, coming out in thick enough globs so that it doesn't drip right off the dog. My dog is big and has a lot of fur, and I use a lot of shampoo when I wash her. One bottle lasts me about 7 baths. Her fur is always soft, shiny and beautiful afterwards. One day I ran out of my own shampoo and used some of the Buddy Wash. I have sensitive, dry skin and it actually worked really well for me, though psychologically it just felt really weird to smell like my dog.

This product was offered--a smaller bottle for the same price--at my vet's office. When we tried to buy it this time they said it was permanently discontinued. All it took was a quick internet search to find it--for cheaper! Thanks for this, it's a shampoo for my lab/pit mix that soothes her sensitive skin so she doesn't constantly scratch and stink! :)

good replacement for histacalm shampoo

My 14 year old shih tzu was bathed with Histacalm shampoo since she was one year old. I'm very happy to say that Epi-soothe is a great replacement. She doesn't scratch herself after her bath which is actually an improvement.

I have a Westie (for those that don't know, they are all white), and she loves to dig. A bad combination. She gets a bath about once a week with baby shampoo. It was working well for the past year...but I have noticed she is starting to itch. I figured it was from the baby shampoo and the frequency of the baths (Westie's are known to have sensitive skin and are encouraged to be bathed infrequently).I began to use Epi-Soothe shampoo...and she has improved remarkably!! No more itching, and she looks much whiter than when I used the baby shampoo. I still give her a bath once a week...and there have been no problems.I highly recommend this product for your animal - sensitive skin or not. The price is reasonable, and the product is good for their skin.

Epi-Soothe is the single best shampoo out there for cats and dogs with allergies. It will provide fast itch relief and you can use it literally every day if needed, even on Labradors who normally should not be bathed. It will not strip the skin and coat or exacerbate dryness like most shampoos. I personally know of many dogs who have benefited from this product and can not recommend it enough. This stuff is well worth every penny.
