Perfume - How to Choose Perfume if You are Allergic?
Perfume is comprised of alcohol, water and perfume (fragrance) oil. Its intensity is decided with the concentration of solvents in mixture. Most commonly used solvent for perfume is ethanol. Perfume itself is easy to prepare and the trick is to put the essential oils together creating a smell you like.

Furthermore, do not apply perfume just before exposure to the sunlight, because alcohol in the perfume is damaging for the skin, and several components might be phototoxic and hurt your skin, or cause pigmentation on your skin.
Tip: To see if the skin is allergic to a specific perfume, try this: apply a small amount on the wrist, or the inner elbow or the back of the hand/arm and if there is a reaction after 1 hour, then the perfume is likely not suitable.
After smelling several fragrances you will not be able to capture their essence. You might try out 2 perfumes, one on each wrist during one trip to the mall, but no more than two since your nose will begin to get confused and you will end up smelling like a perfume factory. However it is nice to own perfumes of various fragrant groups, since your mood and circumstances might be different.

This is dollar tree crap. by L. T. Zack from None ya!! on 2010-05-13 The listing says "premium scented oil"???? But honestly, all of the "Spiritual Sky" products I ordered are weak, diluted and of very poor quality. I always bought my scented oils from a local supplier but they recently went out of business. And because I live in the middle of nowhere (Yeah, I baby sit Courage for Muriel and Eustace Bagge) I now find my self searching for a new seller/brand. Spiritual Sky is NOT going to be it.The coconut and vanilla actually do smell like coconut and vanilla even if they are very weak.The Patchouli is cheap and disgusting. It smells like . . . .? Well, I used to work at a thrift store and the Spiritual Sky Patchouli smells like the boxes of old shoes that we would throw away because they were in too bad of condition to sell at the thrift store. YIKES!!!! Good Patchouli does NOT smell like that at all!!And the Lavender is very weak and smells like baby powder just like how all the cheap "Lavender" products smell at the dollar tree. Good Lavender does not smell like that. Certain Lavender oils smell a little similar to baby powder but if your Lavender smells just straight up like weak baby powder the you have yourself a very inferior Lavender that probably isn't even real Lavender at all. That's how the Spiritual Sky Lavender smelled.Honestly you can find better products at Wal-Mart. Don't be suckered by the Super-Saver Shipping like I was. I usually don't even leave detailed product reviews but these were so disappointing I felt I just had to say something.
Used it in my electric oil warmer and hardly smelled a thing! Way to light a scent. by M. Adams from Phoenix, AZ on 2010-04-29 I purchased to scent my large, 5-bedroom, 2-story home but it was a complete waste of money. I put several drops in my electric oil warmers for over an hour and it did not do the job. I smelled it faintly only when I walked by where they were placed. Even when I sniffed the bottle, the scent was too light. Back to my usuals.

Ripoff by R. Coleman from USA on 2010-06-23 I bought a vial of Spiritual Sky Scented Oil - Patchouly - 1/4 Ounce Bottle from Toms Incense, with shipping this came to $10. That money was stolen from me. The oil sent me is diluted to the point it would take half a bottle to get any fragrance at all. I have used this product before, and this was diluted. I sent them a email asking for them to correct the problem, no response. I will never use them again. Buy at your own risk, because they wont respond to a problem.In reply to John I. Oines, I'd say stealing $10 from me is rather mean spirited. And 2 weeks later still no reply to my email. Want good oil, go buy some from plantlife.

I Love Patchouly oil by Joan M. Stahl from Henderson, KY on 2010-04-15 I have worn this scent for many years now. I get a lot of compliments which make you feel good about yourself plus a good ego boost. I wear several different perfumes but never recieved the compliments that I did with Spiritual Sky Patchouly. The best scented oil by Deej from Grove City, Ohio on 2009-12-29 These are the best scented oils I have found. The Patchouli scent is great and if mixed with something else, it is wonderful. The Patchouli scent is truly a 60 - 70's scent. I have noticed that companies are adding this scent to their lines mixed with the other scents, it is distinctive. Try the Patchouli Musk.

Thoroughly dissappointed by princesschecki from USA on 2009-06-16 I bought this "oil" to replace some Frangipani oil that I had found in Bali where the Frangipani blooms and smells wonderful, and where the oil is equally intoxicating.
This product was nothing like it. The fragrance was non-descript and very far from the true fragrance of Frangipani. Maybe Frangipani was only used as a fancy name for this oil?
I tried a few drops of the product in an oilburner with water. There was barely any oil on the surface of the water, the little red drops sunk to the bottom.
This bottle has hit the trash bin.
