Are you sure you know what "all means" natural?
"All natural" is on the verge of becoming general. Case in point? Pizza Hut. His new "all natural" have affected the pizza shops and marked the beginning of … well, something. I am not quite sure what though. Seems like a good thing, but it? If Pizza Hut can use the term "natural" Do not you have the question of how stringent are the requirements to earn that state? Before that "all natural" takes over completely, let's take a step back and make sure we know exactly what you mean and what does not. Prepare to be surprised!
What "all natural" means:
No sweeteners or artificial colors: The Food and Drug Administration U.S. (FDA) has ordered that no synthetic can be labeled "all natural". Artificial sweeteners and colors are the quintessence of "synthetic" so those are covered and "natural" foods do not contain them.
No artificial flavors: FDA defines a natural flavor as one that derives "a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, buds, roots, leaves or similar plant (or animal) material. While this looks good at first glance, you can "take" many natural products from Natural plant or animal materials. But at least, artificial flavors purely synthetic are to be found in "natural" foods.
What "all" natural does not mean:
"All natural "does not mean organic: Most foods that claim to be" all natural "are simply saying they have not added anything done by the man with the animal or plant that is being consumed, such as the variety of chemical preservatives commonly found in food. However, there is a strong possibility that plants or animals used in the products were subjected to pesticides, herbicides, genetic modification or chemicals during its growth. Furthermore, the seal "USDA Organic" has received a national definition in the U.S., and strict rules and regulations to go along with that … not include the use pesticides, herbicides, genetic modification or chemicals.
"All natural" does not mean that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS): This is unbelievable, but true. The FDA says: "HFCS contains no artificial ingredients or synthetic color additives and meets FDA requirements for use of term "natural". HFCS, like table sugar and honey, is natural. It is made from corn, a natural grain product. "I have no idea why says this – HFC not found in nature and requires several steps of enzymatic treatment to be performed. "All Natural" no doubt due, in short, NO HFCS. Some companies (such as Schweppes, Kraft and Snapple) have been sued in the past to label drinks mounted HFCS as "all natural".
"Everything natural "does not change: It is virtually impossible to get food that has not been processed unless you are buying from a farmer's market.
"All Natural" does not mean healthy: Remember that all "natural" things are not necessarily good for you. For example:
"MSG is natural and there is great concern about their health implications.
"The salt is natural, and so over-abundant in foods today that most Americans consume 2.3 times more than their recommended daily amount.
"Sugar is natural. Because "all natural" means no added artificial sweeteners, some "all natural" foods can be saturated with sugar to compensate. Be sure to check in the amount of sugar the label.
Returning to the "natural" Pizza Pizza Hut has 220 calories, 8 grams of fat and 460mg sodium per serving small … far to be healthy. How to make Pizza Hut by the "natural"? Well, it seems that the ingredients are truly natural, although contained pepperoni flavors natural ", and as we know, that could mean just about anything.
So what does this mean? Unfortunately, this means is not so easy to make sure they are actually eating what most of us would regard as "all natural" food. That said, many " natural "foods are really what we mean by" all natural ". We must be alert and informed so we can choose the foods and the right I will do my best to bring you the most important information.
