How to make a scented candle - candle making at home

The fact is that the manufacture of candles is not difficult for a beginner to learn, all you need is creativity. The best of this art, especially if you are new to it is that you can melt the wax right down and start again if he committed some errors in the process or you did not like the result very much. Before you start your adventure Candle making is needed to prepare the following materials: clay pot or double broiler, thermometer, wax candle chips, glass container with lid, wick essential oils or scented candle oils and food coloring.

Heat the wax in the crock pot or double broiler and when the wax reaches 160 degrees, mix scented oil and stir. While the wax is heated, you can pre-heat the candle jar in the oven at lowest setting. After the wax has melted, take the candle glass jar out of the oven and carefully pour the ingredients into the jar candle. Must leave room on top for the cap fits and save a little wax to finish.

Now straighten the wick and lower the metal disc in the melted wax and do everything possible to put the disc as close to the center of the candle as possible. Let the candle cool down to where there is a semi hard dough on top and then take the wick and adjust so that it focuses on the bottle. Let the candle cool completely at room temperature, it would take up to six hours.

Trim wick to about a quarter of an inch and there you go, your very own custom candle is ready for you enjoyment. You can also try making candles with different packaging such as porcelain, metal cans or anything that will withstand the intense heat of the plane.
