How to Make Soap: The two popular methods

If you are not aware, however, there are actually two widely used methods manufacture of soap. This includes mergers and Pour method for the manufacture of soap and cold process soap making method. What difference between the two and which should I use? Let's look at each one of them.

Melt and Pour Soap Making Method

The melt and pour process soap making soap is ideal for beginners. All you need is a melt and pour soap base. You simply melt your soap base, put in additives such as perfumes and essential oils, then put in a molder of soap. Once hardened, simply cast it out then start using it.

Soap Making Process Cold Method

The method of cold process soap making is the method of making soap from their actual materials. With the cold process method, combining sodium hydroxide or lye in cold water then let stand at room temperature. In another pot mix, combine oils and fats the mixture is heated to 120 degress Fahrenheit, stirring occasionally.

Then combine the two solutions then mix well until the texture, even out and the solution becomes thick. When it is thick enough, you can put in fragrances, dyes and other additives, then stir thoroughly once more. Finally, put the soap in the soap molds, let solidify within about 24 hours.

For an excellent outcome, found it best to keep soap recipes that can be purchased at local craft stores and online. These recipes contain ingredients and tools list, along with detailed instructions on how to make soap.

The character of the soap opera you make will depend on the additives put in its formulation.
