Revealing secrets about the candle mold
Candles have been a good friend to man for centuries. Until the invention of the lightbulb electric light candles were a necessity for normal life. The candles and the light was always a critical element for any center of human activity, including households, workplaces, offices, entertainment, etc. When the usable electricity came to the scene thought the candles go the way of whips and quickly vanish, but you know what? not only survived to this day remains very popular feature in homes and in many other places.
Today There is currently strong in the commercial production industry sailing available on the market with millions of candles of every size, shape, color, scent and size. Herewith hobbiests there are many who enjoy making your own candles.
A key component in the toolbox are the manufacturer of candles candle making molds. Candles now come in all sizes and shapes and molds are what make this happen. There are three basic types of molds to the manufacturer of sails including aluminum, rubber and plastic. Here is a look each type:
Aluminum molds
Aluminum molds are the first choice of most of Supply, for several reasons. The first is to produce a candle very good looking, because it is a durable one-piece design. The finished product is smooth, without lines sewing. They are also easy to work with because of its durability and heat resistance. Another factor is that they are easy to clean. All you need to clean them is to place face down on a baking tray and put in an oven heated to 150 degrees and the excess wax will fall into the baking pan, leaving a clean ready for the next candle. They are more cheap plastic molds or rubber because the candle cost is very low due to the fact that many candles are produced in the longer term reducing the cost factor of each mold sailing at a very low figure.
Rubber molds
Rubber molds are types such as latex, polyurethane or silicone. These molds are flexible and are generally used to make candles with unusual shapes, though they are perfectly suited for mobile or pillar candles. Rubber molds of almost any shape are available, but whether a particular form you want is not easily done with liquid latex. Just find an object with the desired shape and paint several layers of liquid latex and will soon have a rubber mold as desired.
Silicone molds are the most expensive variety of plastic, but well worth the price. They are easy to work with them because they are flexible enough to obviate the need for release agents, but are rigid enough to maintain their shape and do not leave parting lines.
Polyurethane molds are slightly less expensive than silicone molds. They require a release agent by the fact that they are flexible, but not extend to any appreciable degree to facilitate demolding. They also have a strong smell of plastic that can be absorbed into the candle is not a fact desirable.
Latex molds have lost favor with candle makers and silicone molds began to become more popular, but the material is still good for the mold custom.
Plastic molds
Plastic molds are less expensive and more suited to supply again. They are less durable the kind of rubber molds and is known for making best quality candles or longevity. They make a mold candles are good start.
