How To Make Transparent Soap

Aqarium gravel turned water blue?

I have a 40 gallon fish tank that I had had for about 4 years now and I bought some new gravel to replace what I previously had(new gravel is black) and after rinsing the gravel and letting it soak over night, I put it in the tank and now my water is a transparent blue color and makes a lot of bubbles when you move the water around, but they pop quickly.... Any ideas on what this is and how to fix it?? Oh, and I did not use any soap when cleaning the gravel

the new gravel is probably the problem. if your old gravel didn't turn the water blue, then why would it with the new gravel? i suggest buying the same type of gravel you had before, if you didn't have any problems with it.
