The benefits of using handmade soap are many: the simplest ingredients, fewer chemicals, natural vegetable oils instead of animal fats. All these things are important to many people today. The reasons for a more natural, handmade product are not always obvious, however. Read on to learn more.
We live in an age where technological advances are many. Cell phones, microwave, breakfast, Potota instant digital television, radio size credit card .... Many of these developments are there to make life easier. However, when it comes to skin care and ingredients you put in the skin, the technology is probably not what you had in mind!
Why is Natural handmade soaps so special?
Natural soaps are made in an old fashion. This is a very simple chemical reaction between the oils (or fats) and lye (sodium hydroxide for bars). All soap is made with lye, but there is no lye in the finished product. The chemical reaction becomes the bleach mixture of fat for glycerin. Glycerin is a natural product and as such, the relationship between the molecule of glycerin soap and means that has a cleansing with plenty of luxury foam that cleans like nothing else. As a bonus, not strip skin of its natural protective oils.
Commercially made soap usually contains detergents, fillers, chemicals, petroleum, high animal fat content (read: tallowate sodium) and irritants as SLS or SLES (read our articles on other sulfates!). Commercially soap tends to be eco-friendly like this. While commercially manufactured soap usually costs less, the impact on the skin and the environment is impressive.
The handmade natural soaps are made with natural oils, has a high content of glycerin, are better for the environment without detergents, phosphates or sulfates, and never tested on animals.
Natural Soaps What is it?
Nee Nee En Soap Shop, we use all natural vegetable oils in our soaps. Each oil is carefully selected for its cleaning properties of soap. Soybean oils coconut oils are used. Our partially hydrogenated soybean oil, vegan and natural as that found for cosmetic use. Shea butter adds essential moisturizing properties to the soaps we do, helping to keep your skin soft and supple. Goat milk (read our articles on here, too!) Is also a natural, skin-friendly moisturizer that helps skin maintain the pH balance, making skin healthier and better protected. Essential oils and fragrances contribute unique aroma of each soap, natural spices / herbs, oats, and / or flower buds and leaves of plants contribute texture. We use no dyes or coloring artificial in our soaps. What you see is what you get!
Why is Glycerin Important?
Glycerin is a humectant. It attracts moisture and gives it back to your skin. In the handmade natural soap making processes and a molecule of glycerin is created for every three soap molecules. Often commercial soap makers remove the glycerin from their soap and then sell the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. With our soaps natural, however, all natural glycerin remains intact with all its nutritional benefits to the skin.
When and how to start soap?
Until about a century, all soap is made from animal fats, and many of them did at home. Families butter would save kill animals to make soap. The lye was made from the ashes of the fireplace or pit. However, in 1916, the first synthetic soap (detergent) was done. This was due to the scarcity of animal fat, or tallow, during the First World War From that moment, synthetic soaps became popular with women eager to get rid of another exhausting chore.
Today, however, not only understand the process of making natural soap better, there are a variety natural oils and ingredients available. Manufacture of handmade natural soaps has never been easier, and you do not have to use animal fats for do.
