How to treat oily hair while using a SLS free shampoo?

So I will never use shampoo/soaps with SLS in them.
I make my own (liquid Castille soap and distilled water) I rinse afterwards with vinegar. Will my scalp eventually get the idea and stop producing so much oil. Or am I destined to have to battle oily hair forever? What can I add? Plus my tips are very dry, I now am using coconut oil on them once a week before bed, and occasionally I condition only them.
I'm looking for a shampoo recipe or what I can do about my hair (without going back to carcinogenic options)?

sprinkle a little talcom powder in your hair and it will absorb all the oils in your hair nd you should cut your tips every 2 months and neutrogena has a shampoo called triple moisture with NO SLS. by the way dont rinse your hair with vinegar becuase that is what is drying your sclp and causing it 2 produce more oil
