Where to buy cheap axel for home-made soap box racer ( no rules )?

I would like to know what store or online store i could purchase cheap decent axels, the wheels are something like half an inch I'm not sure but thats around the diameter i am after.

This is just for fun so it doesn't need to follow any specifications for derby car requirements.

I just want to know a store to buy it from and if you have any info that would be nice too

Try making your own. Find a piece of thin round tubing, and two bearings off a bicycle(maybe you can use the front ones).
Use the the outer of the bearing to mount onto the frame of the cart.
And regarding the wheels. It sounds a bit small. Try some 26" rims!
