Olive oil soap is perhaps the mildest soap and finest available today. Applications healing, soothing and medicinal olive oil dates back thousands of years. The longevity of the olive oil used for cooking all cosmetic moisturizers attests to the remarkable longevity of its use.

Thousands of olive oil or recipes of Castile soap and find the best of them involves time and research. To eliminate this time consuming process, I have tracked hundreds of recipes and found one that is easy for beginners, it produces a large amount of soap, and is far superior.

Basic Olive Oil Soap Recipe: 10 lbs Performance

This recipe has been paraphrased for the sake of brevity, however, the ingredients remain exactly the same:

"Bleach is potentially a dangerous substance and should be handled with extreme care." Wear rubber gloves, goggles and clothing. Never leave bleach water on the counter or table unattended, Finding a safe and secure place to chill.

Never use aluminum utensils or containers for soap making. DO NOT use caustic soda, bleach is not pure.

About stirring soaps olive oil to take a very long time to get to draw by hand-shaking. Accelerate the process by using a stick blender. Stir well. A plain Olive Oil Soap not achieved full traceability of the pot will not make good soap in the mold! With mechanical assistance, full traceability in general, must be less than 10 minutes.

Simple recipe olive oil soap

o One 18-ounce of bleach (aka sodium hydroxide)

or 5 cups of distilled water (chemical and mineral impurities in tap water can cause problems with soap)

or 20 cups of olive oil (for measure the volume of liquid)

or a heatproof bowl (Pyrex, stainless steel, strong plastic) to mix the bleach (at least two quart size)

or a large stainless steel or enamel pot for soap is mixed (at least 2 gallon)

or spatula or bucket (rubber or silicone)

or a plastic container with lid

1. Pour distilled water into a heatproof bowl, add bleach. Remove gently with a rubber spatula to dissolve. Mixture produces smoke, stop to disperse vapors. Put the lye water mixture aside in a safe place to cool.

2. Once the lye has cooled to the point where the container is warm to the touch, pour olive oil in large pot mix and heat to 100 degrees and remove pan from heat.

3. Pour the lye water mixture into the hot oil, slowly and carefully to avoid spills, oil stirring constantly. The mixture was incorporate and become soft, continue stirring for several minutes to ensure the mixture is thoroughly mixed. Start using a whisk or beater, for short intervals, shaking hands in the middle. The mixture will become thicker and more opaque, continue to stir until a thick consistency with milk-as obtained.

4. Pour the soap mixture into the mold, place the lid and covered with blankets. When cooled completely remove the soap from the mold and cut to size of choice. Soap Stack in brown paper, shelves lined in a well ventilated area, age and soap cure for about 4 weeks before use.

5. More than 10 kilos soap.
