melt and pour soap recipe?

I have a niece with eczema and want to make a soap that could be used with a goat's milk melt and pour base. Does anyone have a good recipe with the proportion of oil to use?

I'm not sure what you mean. The only soap I have known that it could "melt and pour" glycerin base is plant, not goat's milk. Here is a site with recipes for goat milk soap: http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/tipstricks/ss/goatsmilksoap.htm These essential oils are used to treat eczema: benzoin, bergamot, Roman chamomile, geranium, juniper, lavender, palmarosa and sandalwood. If you make a soap for it, avoid lanolin, coconut oil and coal tar. Advise capture rainwater for use in the bath and shampoo. You do not ask, but the evening primrose oil (2 capsules 2x day for children and 2x, for adults) has a good success rate in reducing eczema. In children, especially, indicates zinc deficiency.

The goat milk soap just feels different than typical homemade soap. It's a subtle difference, perhaps. But many people buy into the idea that it is superior. As a manufacturer milk soap a long time, I think perhaps the superiority of milk soap can be overstated. But it has a better idea, it seems, and is certainly an interesting point of sale. Here are 5 tips for better milk soaps.

1. Use ice.

Milk burns if it gets too hot. That's what milk is caramelized ... burnt milk. What happens in the soap, if milk is too hot. That's why milk soap costs a dark brown color, type of burning future. Here is the tip. Gradually mix in milk and lye keep milk bread dipped in a bath of ice water. Keep the milk / lye mixture to lower temperatures and mixture maintains a creamy yellow-brown and not burned and the resulting soap stays the same color.

2. Freeze the milk.

Another way to protect milk from burning is to use partially frozen, slushy milk at the beginning of the addition of lye. This way you can better control the heat of reaction bleach. Just freeze all the milk and let it partially thaw before the lye mixture until the milk mixture.

3. Consider blender.

Mix the bleach in the milk of some causes of milk fat to quickly start back to the soap. Recently, small groups. It is only a cosmetic thing. You can mix the milk mixture in a blender finished bleach to completely eliminate these small groups. This is very risky and although I would not recommend that most people try this. Why? There is no reason to use a large amount of excess fluid in making milk soap. Most people use too much water in the soap. So what? Excess water and soap means to cure and as much contraction. 5. View lye discount.

It means more or less caustic lye, burning, unpleasant soap. Too little bleach, oil has not changed soap. It's a balancing act and the key to the great soap making. Receiving the right amount of lye, which is. The discount varies recommended bleach, but often looks like a 10 per cent. That is too high for milk soap, in my opinion. That leaves open too much oil, on the one hand, it reduces the bubbles. A number More on the 5 percent range is better. Beware of discounts bleach.

The manufacture of goat milk soap is a great way to make a better soap. There is a demand for milk soap from the perception that it is better for the skin and softer to use. Key to making milk soap is fine temperature control milk and lye mixture. Keeping the temperature under control means you can build a soap that is creamy yellow, burnt orange instead.
