Glycerin Bar Soap

What kind of bar soap is less likely to cause soap scum and best for the skin?

I have been using normal bar soap for a long time. I like it, except it leaves a lot of foam in the bathtub. Would organic soap bar or a bar of glycerine soap, be better for the maintenance of a foam-free bath and be healthier for my skin?
