As a business owner in the perfume industry home, I get a lot of questions about how safe are oil heaters and how to choose the best oils. I will concentrate on the first scented oils (no essential oils, which is a completely different game). The essential oils are not manufactured with a combination of natural and synthetic ingredients. They are carefully developed to be suitable and safe for the home or in the bath and body use. So what oil companies do a better (stronger, longer duration) than another? This largely depends on the manufacturer. If a distributor is not buying a good quality oil, it does not take long to realize that it's cheap. The oils can lose fragrance after a short period of time, or have no fragrance at all when heat is applied! Depending on what type of fragrance you get, the oils can react differently when used in a specific application. This is why we have always stressed to people who want to start a business to test fragrances before always buy oil in bulk. You will know immediately if this is a quality product and can be used in its implementation. This will save you money and keep your customers in the long term. I've tried many many oils from different manufacturers and only sell the highest quality to my clients (the best price too). Another tip for the purchase of oil, I suggest buying in bulk oils and become a bottle. Most electric heaters use a light 35watt bulb and are equipped with a voltage regulator. This invention is not only ingenious, but much safer to use! I usually turn my warmest on high for about 15 minutes, then turn it down halfway. The rarely burns oil (the bulb is not hot enough), and the smell is constant and fantastic! You will see "smoke White oil increased, but this is not smoke, the oil is steam, which is completely normal. The oil vapor is evaporated into the air which in turn, fragrances throughout your home. It is also very nice (as opposed to candles) there is no black soot associated with burning oil. Another tip for heating oil, if you receive a fragrance which is particularly strong, you can always add water to its hottest and add a few drops of oil until it reaches a comfortable level.
